DRUG CARD Remember to keep your cards CURRENT. There are two dates on the back of the card and BOTH dates must be current to get a referral (Training and Lab test). If you do not have a current drug card "IN HAND" you will not be given a referral. (DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE) Some Contractors are now requiring a Lab Test on the day of referral. DUES RECEIPT Member needs to have a PAID UP Dues Receipt to participate in the attendance prizes given at the monthly meetings. (This does not include the Cope drawing) DUES! DUES! If you are over 2 months delinquent in your dues payments you are not in good standing with the IBEW. If something should happen to you, the International will not pay any death benefit to your designated beneficiary. Keep Local 82 informed as to any address change and be sure the IBEW has the proper beneficiaries listed for you. If you are over 6 months delinquent, you are no longer a member of the IBEW. You lose your death benefits through the International as well as any accumulated years of service towards your retirement. If you have questions, stop by or call the hall 937.898.4239

IBEW Electricians Local 82 Hall of Fame Nominations accepted January thru June of each year. Forms available at the hall

Fire Alarm License  
The LMCC will reimburse the full cost of your original license & 1/2 for yearly renewals. To get reimbursed you can bring or mail a copy of your license to the hall.

Benefit Emergency and Relief  

Article XIII Benefit and Emergency Relief Fund Local 82 Bylaws state (in part):

“There shall be established in Local Union 82 a fund to be known as the “Benefit and Emergency Relief Fund” to provide some temporary relief for sick or disabled members in financial distress. The administration of the Fund shall be under the supervision of the Executive Board. All payments from the Fund shall be subject to approval of the members present at a regular meeting. Relief payments to a member shall never exceed $100.00 in any one calendar month.”

Attached is the form to request the $100 and one month of dues paid. You can also obtain a copy at the Hall. Just call 937.898.4239 and one can be mailed to you. Your request will be read at the next Executive Board Meeting held the 3rd Monday of each month, and then, read at the following regular union meeting. No late B.E.R.F. submittals will be considered by the Executive Board.

You must be a member in good standing to receive Benefit and Emergency Relief.

Dues for 2015 increased to $39.70 per month

Golf League  
For information on the Golf League, call Nick Comstock at the hall. Local 82 usually sponsors 4 golfers each for the Dayton Building Trades Outing and the Jackass Classic, event sometime in June. Watch the Local 82 website or call the hall to be put in the drawing for your chance to be one of the 8 golfers.

OSHA 30 - Hour Course  
JATC will be hosting a JW OSHA 30-hour class beginning March 25 and concluding on May 13, 2015. All classes on Wednesday evenings starting at 5:00 PM. Call the JATC to register for this class. 937-264-2052 and talk to Eric at ext. 1202, or Rachel at ext. 1200. Registration limited to the first 20.
