DRUG CARDS/DUES
2014-01-22
DRUG CARD Remember to keep your cards CURRENT. There are two dates on the back of the card and BOTH dates must be current to get a referral (Training and Lab test). If you do not have a current drug card "IN HAND" you will not be given a referral. (DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE) Some Contractors are now requiring a Lab Test on the day of referral. DUES RECEIPT Member needs to have a PAID UP Dues Receipt to participate in the attendance prizes given at the monthly meetings. (This does not include the Cope drawing) DUES! DUES! If you are over 2 months delinquent in your dues payments you are not in good standing with the IBEW. If something should happen to you, the International will not pay any death benefit to your designated beneficiary. Keep Local 82 informed as to any address change and be sure the IBEW has the proper beneficiaries listed for you. If you are over 6 months delinquent, you are no longer a member of the IBEW. You lose your death benefits through the International as well as any accumulated years of service towards your retirement. If you have questions, stop by or call the hall 937.898.4239

401(k)& DEFINED CONTRIBUTION STATEMENTS
2014-11-07
The Boards of Trustees for the IBEW Local 82 Defined Contribution and 40l(k) plans have learned that participant statements were issued by TWG Benefits (General Pension Planning) for the third quarter of 2014. These statements showed all Plan participants with a $0 balance. The statements were sent in error and are NOT correct. As you will recall, the Plans hired a new third party administrator, the GEMGroup, Inc., to handle administration of the Retirement Plans. The recordkeeping and custodial services transitioned to the GEMGroup as of July 1, 2014. Any assets you had in the Defined Contribution and/or 40l(k) Plan as of June 30, 2014, was transferred and is now being handled by the new administrator. You will be receiving new statements from the GEMGroup in the near future with the correct account balance information. In the meantime, please disregard the statements received from General Pension Planning. The Trustees sincerely apologize for any concern this error may have caused. The statements from General Pension Planning were not authorized by the Boards and should not have been mailed to Plan participants. Please feel free to contact the administrator with any questions.
